Details:
The fifth edition of "Bauerenhaff an der Stad" (Farm in the City) is taking place at Glacis in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 March 2026.
Through this event, farmers and other producers seek to raise public awareness about food production methods, as well as about the realities and challenges faced by those working in the agricultural sector.
The fifth edition will once again feature three main elements: a presentation of the main animal species involved in Luxembourg agriculture, including live animals and production demonstrations; a producers' market offering regional products; and an overview of the historical development of agriculture, specifically grain harvesting. Agricultural machinery (tractors, etc.) will be on display.
Activities for children will include agricultural workshops, pedal tractors, crafts using agricultural materials and a bouncy castle.
The event is supported by about ten sponsors and will feature 26 exhibitors.
The previous edition, held in 2024, took place in Place de la Constitution, next to the "Gëlle Fra" monument. The organisers noted that there is more space this year for the food and drinks area, with the culinary offer including tarte flambée, chips (fries), Gromperekichelcher, grilled meat (sausages and burgers), spaghetti, pancakes and waffles.
