On 10 November 2025, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture reported the attendance of Minister of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, Martine Hansen, at the 70th edition of the Expovina wine fair in Zurich

According to the ministry, for its anniversary edition Expovina selected Luxembourg, alongside wine regions from the Danube area and the Adriatic, as a guest region. While the focus was on Crémant production, other Luxembourg wines also showed export potential on the Swiss market.

The ministry reported that over the weekend Minister Hansen met with the Luxembourg winegrowers exhibiting at the event, which runs from Thursday October 20 to Thursday 13 November.

The representatives from Luxembourg consist of the following eleven wine estates:

•            Domaine Viticole Krier Welbes

•            Domaine Henri Ruppert

•            Winery Jeff Konsbrück

•            Domaine Schmit-Fohl

•            Bernard Massard

•            Keyser-Kohll

•            Clos Jangli

•            Max Lahr et Fils

•            Pundel Vins Purs

•            Poll-Fabaire / Domaines Vinsmoselle

•            Maison Rezbergh

The presence of the eleven wine estates in Zurich was coordinated by FabstWines Sàrl, a Luxembourg start-up whose digital platform connects producers and consumers in the wine sector through personalised recommendations.

The ministry remarked that Switzerland represents an attractive export market for Luxembourg, particularly for premium Crémants. Demand for high-quality products is strong and Luxembourg wines enjoy a positive reputation in Switzerland and domestic sparkling wine production there remains relatively limited.

During her visit, Minister Hansen highlighted the value of Luxembourg’s participation in international trade fairs such as Expovina: “Our winegrowers show here that quality, innovation and tradition can go hand in hand. Switzerland is a promising market with considerable potential — particularly for premium Crémants and wines. Events like this strengthen not only export opportunities but also the image of Luxembourg’s wine sector beyond our borders.”

Moreover, the ministry noted that participation in Expovina underscored the dynamism and competitiveness of Luxembourg’s wine industry and supported greater visibility and exchange with international partners.
