Luxembourg's Loterie Nationale (National Lottery) has reported that a record EuroMillions jackpot of €250 million is up for grabs on Friday 6 June 2025.

While a Superdraw jackpot of €130 million was initially planned for Friday, a new record jackpot of €250 million will ultimately be up for grabs. This marks just the second time in history that EuroMillions has hit its jackpot cap.

The Loterie Nationale recalled that an Austrian player won the record sum of €250 million for the first time on 28 March 2025. Initially set at €243 million, the jackpot had been raised to the maximum ceiling due to "exceptional" participation.

The Loterie Nationale noted that this new €250 million jackpot has reached its maximum for this cycle and, in accordance with the rules of the game, once this ceiling is reached, it can be rolled over for five consecutive draws. Consequently, if it is not won this Friday, the record sum will remain available for four more draws. If at the end of the fifth draw, no player wins the top tier (jackpot), the sum will be shared among the winners of the lower tier - this requires at least one winner no later than Friday 20 June 2025.

To be in with a chance of winning, players must validate their EuroMillions ticket at one of the 450 Loterie Nationale points of sale or play directly on the website www.loterie.lu before 20:00 on Friday 6 June 2025.

All proceeds generated by the Loterie Nationale go towards financing social, cultural, environmental and sporting projects in Luxembourg, through the Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte. Since 1945, the Loterie Nationale has generated €543 million in profits, which have been entirely distributed to the Œuvre for its philanthropic missions.
