The Grand Ducal Police have reported several cases of drink driving recorded across Luxembourg on Tuesday 7 October 2025.
On the evening of Tuesday 7 October, the police received a report of a vehicle in Fridhaff, near Diekirch, exhibiting dangerous and unsafe driving. The vehicle was later stopped by a police patrol near the Schinker roundabout. The driver tested positive for alcohol, and a provisional driving ban was issued.
On the same evening, an intoxicated rider of an electric scooter was reported on Rue du Marché in Diekirch. A police patrol located the rider shortly afterwards. An alcohol test returned a positive result and an official report was filed.
Also, on the evening of Tuesday 7 October, a police patrol in the area of Place du Marché in Remich observed a vehicle parked on the pavement near a pedestrian crossing. During a check on the driver, officers noted clear signs of alcohol consumption. An alcohol test was undertaken, returning a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued by officers.
