The Grand Ducal Police have reported that on Tuesday 21 October 2025, two shoplifters were arrested in Luxembourg City.
According to the initial report, on Tuesday evening two shoplifters were reported in a store in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg, after which they fled the scene.
A police patrol was dispatched to the location and one of the two suspects was immediately apprehended. Stolen goods were recovered from them, and shortly afterwards the second suspect was also apprehended, with stolen items also found in their possession. Both suspects showed clear signs of alcohol consumption, repeatedly insulted the officers and behaved uncooperatively.
The officers filed reports for shoplifting and insulting a public official and, following a medical examination, both suspects were placed in custody due to their condition and for disturbing public order.
