The Grand Ducal Police reported multiple arrests in connection with recent cases of copper theft, burglary and drug dealing on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
During Tuesday night, a burglary was reported at a single-family home on Rue du Moulin in Kayl. According to initial information, police launched a search and apprehended the suspect shortly afterwards, recovering stolen goods at the scene. Further investigations linked the woman to four additional burglaries. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, she was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the afternoon of Tuesday 28 October 2025.
On Tuesday morning, suspicious individuals were reported in Senningerberg after repeatedly visiting a trader to sell a large quantity of copper wire and cables. According to initial information, the two men had appeared several times at the same location, prompting a police patrol to intervene. Officers located both individuals on-site, and further investigation confirmed suspicions that they were linked to previous copper cable thefts. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, both suspects were arrested.
Later that evening, a police patrol in Luxembourg-Gare district observed a suspected handover between two individuals on Rue Joseph Junck, believed to involve drugs. Both were stopped immediately. Officers found marijuana on the suspected buyer and seized five mobile phones and cash from the alleged dealer. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspected dealer was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 29 October 2025.
