The Grand Ducal Police have reported that, on Monday 27 October 2025, two high-end Porsche cars were stolen from the premises of a car dealership in the east of the country.
According to the investigation, a number of men appeared on the premises of the car dealership and verbally and physically intimidated the employees. One of the perpetrators managed to snatch the keys of a customer's vehicle from one of the employees, and another man then fled in that vehicle. A second employee was also threatened and also had his vehicle keys taken. The perpetrators then fled in the stolen vehicles and their own cars.
The Major Crimes Repression Unit of the Luxembourg Criminal Police immediately launched an investigation. According to the police, thanks to swift operational measures, one of the stolen vehicles, along with an escort vehicle, was stopped in France after a short chase by French special forces (Brigade Anti-Criminalité BAC).
Further investigations by the Luxembourg Criminal Police, in close cooperation with the relevant French police authorities, and through direct exchange and collaboration between Luxembourg and French judicial authorities, led to the recovery of the second stolen vehicle a few hours later in a caravan park in France.
Appropriate legal proceedings have been initiated, and the main perpetrator is expected to be extradited to Luxembourg shortly based on a European Arrest Warrant.
