On Tuesday 4 November 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported the arrest of two people following a violent robbery which occurred at Dommeldange railway station on Saturday 1 November 2025.
According to the initial report, the victim and the suspects had arranged to meet in order to sell a bag. At the meeting one of the suspects reportedly produced a knife and ordered the victim to hand over his clothing. The second suspect then displayed a firearm and stole the victim’s bag and its contents. When passers-by noticed what was happening and intervened, both suspects fled. They subsequently attempted to make a payment at a petrol station using the victim’s stolen bank cards, but were unsuccessful.
Following the reporting of the incident, the police immediately launched a search operation and the two suspects were located, along with the stolen goods as well as a knuckleduster found nearby.
By order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, one of the suspects was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the afternoon of Sunday 2 November 2025. As the second suspect is a minor, he was taken to the State Socio-Educational Centre (Centre socio-éducatif de l'État - CSEE) for young offenders.
