On Friday 7 November 2025, the Grand Ducal Police reported that two vehicles stopped in Fridhaff were transporting large quantities of alcohol.
According to the initial report, during a traffic control operation on the N27A in Fridhaff, Diekirch in the early hours of Thursday 6 November 2025, two vehicles were stopped in which police officers discovered a large quantity of alcohol bottles (totalling approximately 925 litres of alcohol) inside.
The Customs and Excise Administration was informed of the illegal alcohol transport and subsequently confiscated the goods. Upon further inspection, it was found that neither of the drivers possessed a valid driving licence.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, an official report was drawn up and the vehicles were seized.
