The Grand Ducal Police have reported two arrests on Tuesday 11 November 2025, in connection with thefts and domestic threats.
Shortly before 03:30 on Tuesday morning, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle at the Dreieck in Erpeldange. According to initial information, a man had broken a car window with a screwdriver, entered the vehicle and searched through it. A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. The suspect, who was inspecting other vehicles nearby, fled when approached by officers but was apprehended shortly afterwards. Stolen items were found in his possession and seized. Further investigations linked the man to additional vehicle thefts, a residential burglary and an attempted break-in at a restaurant. On the orders of the public prosecutor, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge, who issued an arrest warrant.
Later that evening, police in Esch-sur-Alzette responded to a report of a man who had allegedly made threats against his former partner. Officers located the suspect at his home a short time later. He was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of Wednesday 12 November 2025.
