Violent Theft Reported Near Boulevard Charles Marx in Luxembourg City

The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a violent theft occurred near Boulevard Dr Charles Marx and Rue Jean-Baptiste Merkels in Luxembourg-Hollerich on Saturday 15 November 2025.

According to the police, at approximately 13:30, an individual threatened another person with a knife and stole €30 in cash before fleeing the scene.

The victim later saw the suspect in a wooded area near Boulevard Charles Marx and contacted the police.

Officers subsequently apprehended the perpetrator but, during the search, did not find the suspected weapon on the individual or in the surrounding area. The police informed the public prosecutor’s office, which then ordered the suspect’s arrest and appearance before a magistrate.
