The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a 49-year-old woman died in a road traffic accident on Christmas Day on the N7 between Lorentzweiler and Lintgen.
The accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at around 20:25. According to the police, the pedestrian, who was standing in the middle of the road, was struck by the vehicle shortly before the entrance to Lintgen. Despite immediate rescue efforts, the 49-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The police technical unit was tasked to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. The public prosecutor's office requested an autopsy of the victim.
