The Grand Ducal Police have reported two arrests in connection with separate incidents in Weiler-la-Tour and Esch-sur-Alzette, which took place over the weekend of Sunday 28 and Monday 29 December 2025.
In the early morning hours on Sunday, police received a report of a burglary at a commercial premises in Weiler-la-Tour. According to initial information, a patrol attended the scene and apprehended the suspect inside the building. Various stolen items were recovered. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspected burglar was arrested and later brought before an investigating judge the same afternoon, who issued a detention order.
During the night of Monday 29 December 2025, police were alerted to a man present at a residential address in Esch-sur-Alzette, in violation of an exclusion order. A patrol located the suspect on site. Acting on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office, the man was arrested and brought before an investigating judge on the morning of 29 December 2025.
