The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man was arrested in Luxembourg-Gare on Saturday 27 December 2025, on suspicion of violent theft.
According to the police, at around 19:45 a patrol was alerted to a physical altercation between two men on Rue de Strasbourg. Officers located both individuals at the scene, both of whom had sustained injuries and received initial treatment from emergency services.
During a subsequent search, police found several mobile phones, cash and various pills in the possession of one of the men. Initial investigations established that one of the mobile phones belonged to the other individual and had been stolen from him earlier. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, the suspect was arrested and brought before an investigating judge.
