The Grand Ducal Police have reported that officers apprehended suspected drug dealers and a suspected thief in two separate incidents this week.
As part of an investigation, police carried out a house search at the residence of suspected drug dealers in Wilwerdange on the evening of Tuesday 6 January 2026, during which they seized a large quantity of drugs. Two suspects who were present were arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office. They were brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday 7 January 2026.
In the early hours of Thursday 8 January 2026, police received a report of a theft from the garage of a house in Leudelange. During the subsequent search, officers apprehended a suspect. A body search and checks in the immediate vicinity led to the discovery of several items belonging to the victim. Among the items seized were a balaclava, an illegal pocket knife and a torch.
Following forensic examination by the police, the stolen goods were returned to the victim. The suspect was processed and a report was filed.
