The Grand Ducal Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following a serious traffic accident on the CR104.
The accident occurred shortly after 04:00 on Sunday 11 January 2026, just beyond the Goetzingen town limit in the direction of Nospelt. A car collided with a tree and overturned. The passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital after receiving initial treatment at the scene.
According to initial information, an oncoming vehicle was driving in the middle of the road, forcing the driver to swerve and lose control of the vehicle.
The oncoming vehicle is believed to have been a Porsche 911 with Luxembourg licence plates.
The police are calling on the driver of the Porsche, as well as any other witnesses with relevant information about the accident, to contact the Capellen police station via tel.: 244-30-1000 or via email: Police.CAPELLENSTEINFORT@police.etat.lu.
