The Grand Ducal Police responded to various incidents in Luxembourg City over the weekend.
At around 00:30 on Saturday 18 April 2026, police received reports of several suspected drug sales taking place at a service establishment in the capital's train station district (Luxembourg-Gare). A police patrol went to the premises, where officers encountered a suspicious man. A second suspect, a woman, was apprehended nearby in a bar. During further investigations, a bag containing drugs was also seized. A search of both suspects revealed a small quantity of drugs and cash on the man. Based on the available information and the suspicion of drug dealing, both suspects were arrested. They were brought before an investigating judge later that morning.
At approximately 04:20 on Sunday 19 April 2026, police officers were approached by security personnel at a nightclub in Luxembourg City. The intervention concerned a man who had reportedly violated the establishment's house rules. Upon inspection, officers determined that the individual was heavily intoxicated. Due to his condition, the disturbance caused and the danger he posed to himself and others, he was taken into custody and spent the night there following a medical examination.
Later that morning, at around 06:10, police received a report of a fight on a train at the capital's main railway station. Officers arrived to find three men. Two of them became involved in another altercation, during which one sustained minor injuries. As two of the individuals were disturbing the peace and causing a public nuisance, they were taken into custody after undergoing medical examinations.
At approximately 07:50 on Sunday, police received a report of a heavily intoxicated and aggressive man on Place de la Gare in Luxembourg City. Upon arrival, officers confirmed the situation. Due to his uncooperative behaviour, the individual was taken into custody.
