On Monday 20 April 2026, Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Xavier Bettel, received Ferit Hoxha, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, on the occasion of a working visit to Luxembourg.
According to Luxembourg’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, the two ministers welcomed the good bilateral relations between Luxembourg and Albania, while highlighting the potential for strengthening trade and economic exchanges.
During the meeting, Minister Bettel emphasised the importance of the Albanian community in Luxembourg, which numbers more than 1,160 nationals.
Moreover, the ministers exchanged views on Albania’s European perspective. Minister Bettel stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum achieved and continuing the implementation of the necessary reforms.
