On Wednesday 24 June 2026, the City of Luxembourg (VdL) and the Luxembourg Horticultural Federation (FHL) officially reopened the gardens located in the green heart of the Pescatore section of Édouard André Municipal Park.

The eight gardens were originally conceived and created under the auspices of the FHL as part of LUGA(Luxembourg Urban Garden 2025).

Following a call for applications, several plant experts who are members of the FHL committed themselves to the design, development and evolution of genuine living works of art. Each garden reflects a unique vision of the relationship with nature and gardening, where creativity, technical expertise and ecological sensitivity come together harmoniously. Designed as true biodiversity refuges, these spaces host exclusively regional flora and thus provide a favourable environment for pollinators, which actively contribute to the ecological richness of the Pescatore Park.

Given the quality of the installations, the VdL has chosen to make this project a permanent feature. The upkeep of the spaces will therefore be ensured by their creators, members of the FHL, with financial support from the VdL. Each garden is identified by a wooden cube displaying the name of the creator as well as the garden’s name. In addition, a QR code allows visitors to access further information and discover the concepts and intentions underlying each of these landscape creations.

Guided tours will also be offered by the FHL on the following dates:

• Thursday 2 July at 17:30

• Thursday 6 August at 17:30

• Thursday 3 September at 17:30

• Thursday 1 October at 17:30

Registration for the tours is mandatory and can be made by sending an email via: fhl@lwk.lu.

The VdL said it invites the public to “come and (re)discover these unique gardens—places of relaxation, inspiration and awareness-raising about biodiversity—open to everyone in the heart of Pescatore Park”.
