On Wednesday 17 December 2025, LuxTrust reported that a technical incident had caused a temporary disruption to some of its services, including authentication, with restoration efforts continuing.
According to LuxTrust, the technical incident resulted in the temporary unavailability of certain services, while having no impact on system integrity, transaction security or customer data. LuxTrust said recovery efforts had been ongoing since Tuesday 16 November 2025 and continued overnight, adding that service restoration is expected later today. The company noted that, given the critical role its services play in providing secure and reliable authentication, resolving the issue remains its highest priority, with technical teams working continuously to restore full service as quickly as possible.
LuxTrust also apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked users for their patience and understanding. In addition, the company said that a detailed review will be carried out, with a follow-up communication to be issued once the outcome is known.
