On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2025, basketball teams across Luxembourg competed in Game Day 6 of the regular season of the Men’s and Women’s Enovos Leagues, which saw the defending champions and runners-up suffer defeats in the men’s competition, while both leagues’ unbeaten runs continued at the top of the tables.
Men’s League: Sparta Maintain Perfect Record as Etzella & T71 lose
Sparta Bertrange extended their unbeaten start to the Men’s Enovos League season to six games following a 103-93 away victory over Kordall Steelers on Saturday. Head Coach Antonio José López Peña’s team dominated three quarters of the game, building a fifteen-point lead heading into the final period (77-62). Although the hosts reduced the deficit late on, Sparta maintained control to secure another convincing win. American forward Jarvis Terrill Williams once again led the scoring with 25 points, followed closely by Luxembourg international Max Logelin with 24. Victor Chidi Iwuakor also impressed for Bertrange, recording a double-double with 23 points and twelve assists.
T71 Dudelange, last season’s runners-up, suffered a heavy 100-55 defeat away to Amicale Steinsel. Two Amicale players recorded double-doubles: Luxembourg international Alex Laurent finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while American import Malcolm Richardson added 22 points and eleven rebounds. Both teams now hold a record of four wins and two losses.
Following Game Day 6, T71 announced the mutual departure of head coach Christophe Ney, stating that the club and the coach had “mutually agreed to end their collaboration.” The club thanked coach Ney for his commitment and work since the start of the 2025/2026 season and confirmed that “an announcement regarding the new coaching staff will be made in the coming days.”
Current champions Etzella Ettelbruck fell to their second defeat of the season, losing 87-77 away to Résidence Walferdange. Head Coach Gavin Alexander Love’s side trailed 41-45 at half-time but regained the lead in the third quarter, going up by nine points before the hosts mounted a strong comeback in the final period. American guard John Clark Slajchert played a decisive role for Walferdange, scoring ten points in the last quarter and finishing as the game’s top scorer with 32 points.

Women’s League: Leaders T71 Dudelange Defeat Close Rivals
T71 Dudelange extended their unbeaten run in the Women’s Enovos League with a 72-68 away win over Amicale Steinsel. The hosts remained competitive throughout the first two quarters but were outpaced in the third, as T71 went on a decisive run to lead by eighteen points heading into the final period. Head Coach Mathieu Pierre Fivet’s team managed their advantage well to secure the victory, with captain Shalonda Renae Winton recording a double-double of 23 points and thirteen rebounds.
Sparta Bertrange remain the closest challengers, holding a record of four wins and one loss, with one game in hand. Head Coach Mike Feyder’s side claimed a 91-57 away victory over Musel Pikes. 24-year-old American forward Jordan Alexis King led the way for Sparta with 20 points, ten rebounds and nine assists, narrowly missing out on a triple-double.
Les Sangliers Wiltz were the only team not in action over the weekend.
