On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026, Luxembourg basketball teams contested the finals of the Men’s and Women’s Enovos Leagues, with T71 Dudelange securing a second victory in their championship matchup, while current men’s champions Etzella Ettelbruck began their title defence.

At Hall Deich in Ettelbruck, Gavin Love’s team hosted Sparta Bertrange in the opening game of the Men’s Enovos League finals. The hosts lost the first quarter 19-23 but responded strongly in the second period, largely thanks to ten points from American player Nickolas Davis, helping Etzella establish a seven-point advantage before half-time.

The visitors fought back after the break, with Sparta’s American forward Jarvis Williams scoring fourteen points in the third quarter to bring his side level again. Although Bertrange briefly moved ahead with four minutes remaining, Etzella regained control in the closing stages through Luxembourg international Philippe Gutenkauf, who scored eight consecutive points within three minutes to guide his team to an 82-76 victory.

Nickolas Davis finished as Etzella’s top scorer with 25 points and twelve rebounds, while Billy Ray Jr McDaniel also recorded a double-double with thirteen points and twelve rebounds. The second game of the best-of-five finals series will take place in Bertrange on Wednesday 13 May 2026.

In the Women’s Enovos League finals, T71 Dudelange secured their second victory of the series after defeating AB Contern 71-54 away from home. Tom Schumacher’s team took control from the opening minutes and entered half-time with a thirteen-point lead.

Shalonda Winton led T71 Dudelange with a double-double of 22 points and eleven rebounds, while Lauren Anne Van Kleunen added 20 points and thirteen rebounds. Contern lost all four quarters and now trail 0-2 in the finals series. Fabienne Fuger’s side will attempt to claim their first win when the series continues on Friday 15 May 2026.

Meanwhile, Gréngewald Hueschtert secured promotion to the Women’s Enovos League after completing a 2-0 series victory over Black Frogs Schieren, returning to the top division after a one-year absence.
