The Luxembourg Chamber of Agriculture has announced that it will take part in Expogast, which will take place from 21 to 25 November 2026 at Luxexpo The Box in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, with a completely redesigned pavilion dedicated to agriculture this time.
According to the Chamber of Agriculture, the pavilion “Maison Terroir” will be designed as “a vibrant place” where visitors can discover, experience, exchange ideas and meet the people who bring agriculture to life every day. It also aims to encourage those interested to look "beyond the plate" and explore the expertise, stories and realities behind the products they enjoy.
The pavilion will showcase Luxembourg's agriculture and wine production, with a focus on local products and the people behind them. Following the Ettelbruck Agricultural Fair in July 2026, which highlighted the country's farming sector, the Chamber of Agriculture will use Expogast to promote local food, wines and crémants.
Throughout the five-day event, small-scale producers and winegrowers will gather in two dedicated areas, where visitors can meet them and sample their products. A Maison Terroir shop will also offer a selection of local products, objects and gifts inspired by Luxembourg's agricultural and gastronomic heritage.
Christian Hahn, President of the Chamber of Agriculture, highlighted the importance of supporting local producers: "As I often say, what is good for us is good for our terroir! An event like Expogast provides another opportunity for consumers to support our local agriculture. Their culinary preferences and tastes directly influence the crop varieties we grow and the livestock we raise in our fields tomorrow."
The Chamber of Agriculture also aims to use Expogast to strengthen cooperation between farmers, restaurants and retailers, encouraging local sourcing and new business partnerships.
“Everyone knows that buying local is a good idea and that it conveys positive values. But we want to go further: to show restaurant professionals and large-scale retailers that working with local agricultural products creates real added value for their establishments, their customers and their businesses,” commented Paul Marceul, Director of the Chamber of Agriculture.
