The seventh International Roude Léiw Polo Cup 2025 recently raised €5,250 in support of nestwärme projects, with contributions coming from partner companies and a charity auction that included the artwork “Crazy Polo Baldhead” by Luxembourg artist SUMO!.
The tournament took place at the Roude Léiw Polo Club near Helfent-Bertrange from Saturday 28 to Sunday 29 June 2025. According to the organisers, the event offered “a valuable opportunity for connection”, particularly through the presence of families supported by nestwärme Luxembourg Asbl. One emotional highlight came as children facing serious health challenges were invited to throw the opening balls onto the field.
The tournament also featured a nestwärme Kids Charity Polo Cup on Sunday, in which Team Coplanning claimed victory over Team Colin&Cie.
In the main competition, Team STOKR, made up of Laurent Recouvreur, Simona Vaitekute, Sergei Bocharnikov, Svetlana Silvane, Christian Bravo and Romain Darroux, secured the overall tournament trophy, outperforming five other participating teams at the seventh International Roude Léiw Polo Cup 2025.
With over 2,000 visitors across both days, the Roude Léiw Polo Cup once again demonstrated how sport, community and social engagement can align to create a positive impact, according to the organisers.
