The Luxembourg Red Cross will host an immersive theatrical performance, Les Traversées (The Crossings), dedicated to raising awareness of international humanitarian law; performances will take place at 11 Cité Henri Dunant in Bertrange on Saturday 6, Thursday 11 and Friday 12 December 2025.

Created by Renata Neskovska, in collaboration with Luxembourg Red Cross Humanitarian Aid, the production invites audiences to experience and understand the realities of war and the hope offered by humanitarian action.

Set in a 250 m² performance space, attendees will be meet characters, share their stories and feel the raw emotion of narratives brought to life by the actors.

Inspired by Sophocles' Antigone, this new show explores the duality of human nature: capable of both the worst and the best. Through facts, testimonies and situations inspired by real events, interwoven with characters and symbols from Greek tragedy, the performance highlights the birth of international humanitarian law and the founding values ​​of the Red Cross: humanity, solidarity and respect for human dignity.

The performance is primarily in Luxembourgish, with elements in French and German, and is suitable for audiences aged fifteen and up.

Several Luxembourgish artists are participating in the project, including Shiva Gholamianzadeh, Konstantin Rommelfangen and Paul Schumacher.
