The 79th edition of the Red Cross Bazaar (Bazar de la Croix-Rouge) took place under a large marquee set up in Glacis in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November 2025.
The festive charity event offered visitors the opportunity to find gifts from a selection of homemade products, delicatessen, designer items and vintage clothing.
Grand Duchess Stéphanie, who recently became President of the Luxembourg Red Cross, attended the event on Saturday. Also present were the Mayor of Luxembourg City, Lydie Polfer, Chief Alderman Maurice Bauer, Alderwoman Corinne Cahen, Luxembourg’s Minister of Health and Social Security, Martine Deprez, Minister for Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees, Max Hahn, and Minister for Digitalisation and Minister for Research and Higher Education, Stéphanie Obertin, among many other visitors.
The highlight on Sunday was the traditional visit of the "Kleeschen" (Saint Nicholas), which was particularly appreciated by families with children.
Under the presidency of Anne Reuland, a team of volunteers prepared the event. Last year's edition welcomed more than 10,000 visitors.
The Luxembourg Red Cross described this year's edition as another success, noting on social media: "The 79th edition of our Bazar wrapped up this weekend, and what an unforgettable weekend! Huge thanks to our volunteers, teams and sponsors for making this event possible. Thanks also to everyone who came, shopped and donated: thanks to you, we are supporting children in need in Luxembourg and around the world. See you next year for another festive and solidarity-filled edition!"
The funds raised over the weekend will be dedicated to initiatives supporting young people - psychologically, socially and educationally.
