The British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg (BIFFL) organisers have announced that they are looking for volunteers to help at upcoming screenings.

BIFFL will be holding its 2026 Spring Edition in March, with most (if not all - to be confirmed) screenings taking place at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.

Two or more screenings will take place every day over five days, in a compressed format. There may be other screenings / events before and after these dates (to be confirmed).

The full programme of films and schedule of screenings and other events, as well as a number of special guests (actors, directors and producers), is set to be unveiled in late February 2026.

To help with the organisation, Festival Events Asbl is looking for volunteers to help at the festival, including with guest ticketing, Q&As, receptions, and also with roll-up banners, etc. A rota will be set up, depending on availabilities, to be sent out in early March.

Details of the screenings are as follows:

- Wednesday 18 March @ 19:00 & 21:15 @ Ciné Utopia (Shorts Evening / Young Filmmakers Awards)
- Thursday 19 March @ 19:00 & 21:15 @ Ciné Utopia (Opening Screening)
- Friday 20 March @ 19:00 & 21:15 @ Ciné Utopia
- Saturday 21 March @ 19:00 & 21:15 @ Ciné Utopia
- Sunday 22 March @ 14:00 & 16:30 & 19:00 @ Ciné Utopia (Closing Screening, Awards)

Volunteers will need to be there 60 minutes beforehand (90 minutes for the Shorts, Opening and Closing screenings).

To offer one's support, contact Geoff Thompson via email: geoff@festivalevents.lu, mentioning the screenings at which one is volunteering to assist.

As in previous editions, volunteers can sit in on the screenings but may miss the start / end due to volunteering commitments. The organisers added that they will be taking photographs, and sometimes videos, throughout the festival, and volunteers would be consenting to having their photos being published on the festival website, on social media and possibly to promote future festivals.
