On Thursday 3 September 2026, the Luxembourg Red Cross, who works to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people, announced the rescheduled dates for its Charity Kids Run following the postponement of the June event as a result of high summer temperatures.
According to the charity organisation, the various Charity Kids Runs will now take place at the following locations:
⁃ Ettelbruck after-school care centre: 16:00 on Wednesday 9 September at the Deich Stadium (Ettelbruck)
⁃ Albert Wingert School in Schifflange: 14:00 on Wednesday 23 September at the Albert Wingert School (Schifflange)
⁃ Strassen after-school care centre: 16:00 on Thursday 1 October at Parc Riedgen (Luxembourg-Strassen)
The organisers said that the Charity Kids Run aims to encourage children to embrace the values of solidarity while learning basic first aid skills. Guided by volunteers and professionals, participants will be able to take part in an introductory workshop before joining a charity run.
