The Fédération des Acteurs du Secteur Social au Luxembourg (FEDAS) has announced it will host an information day dedicated to people with specific needs on Wednesday 20 May 2026, from 10:00 to 18:00 at the Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The event will feature an opening address from Luxembourg’s Minister for Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees, Max Hahn, and is aimed at those concerned, their relatives, professionals from the social sector, as well as anyone wishing to learn about the support arrangements available in Luxembourg, particularly in terms of guidance, access to employment, career development, training and day care.
FEDAS describes the event as a space to gain information and build connections. Designed for exchange and meeting, the day aims to facilitate access to clear and accessible information on the services and support available. It will also provide a meeting space between service users, families, institutions and field professionals, in order to address uncertainties, guidance needs and the desire to make informed decisions. Throughout the day, visitors will have the opportunity to discover various resources and exchange with professionals on key themes such as employment, training and day care.
FEDAS said the aim of the information day is to enable those concerned and their relatives to better understand existing solutions and to identify the structures that can support them, depending on their needs, skills, talents and the different stages of their journey, particularly during transition periods. By bringing together around 20 organisations in one place, it also aims to highlight the central role of the social sector in supporting those concerned, particularly in terms of guidance, support towards employment and the development of tailored pathways.
The event objectives are:
• to present the diversity of daytime support services (care and activities, vocational training, and work in inclusive workshop settings);
• to inform, guide and broaden the perspectives of those concerned and their relatives;
• to promote direct exchanges with professionals and actors from the social sector;
• to support individualised pathways, taking into account the needs, skills and projects of each person.
