On Sunday 11 May 2025, the Luxembourg U14 cricket team hosted two T20-format matches at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground in Walferdange as part of the Germany Juniors BWCV U14 Summer League 2025.
The Luxembourg U14 cricket team hosted visiting sides FICA (Frankfurt) and the Heidelberg Broncos for two friendly T20 matches. Both games concluded with victories for the home team.
In the opening match, Luxembourg claimed an 8-wicket win over FICA (170/2 vs 169/5), with a key batting partnership between Manraj Virdee and Leo Hudson following the early loss of two wickets.
The second match saw Luxembourg defeat the Heidelberg Broncos by 74 runs, posting a team total of 204. Strong individual contributions came from Prakhar Singh, Azlan Faraz and William Neighbour.
Following their two wins, the Luxembourg U14 team is scheduled to travel to Kaefertal, Germany, for their next league fixture on Sunday 18 May 2025 as part of the ongoing BWCV U14 Summer League 2025.
According to Praveen Singh, Head of LCF Juniors, Luxembourg will also host the 5th edition of the Roger Barker U13 International Tournament from Saturday 14 to Sunday 15 June 2025 at the Pierre Werner Cricket Ground in Walferdange. U13 national teams from Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg are set to take part in the two-day event.
