The Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) has unveiled a diverse programme for its 2025/2026 season, which also celebrates the venue's 25th anniversary.

To kick off the celebrations, CAPE is teaming up with the Ettelbrooklyn Street Fest for the "Ettelbrooklyn & CAPE Street Fest", set to take place on Saturday 27 September 2025. This new cultural highlight will feature a variety of free performances in the streets of Ettelbruck, with confirmed shows including Brace for Impact, Now Departing and Flying Bach (combining classical music by Bach with breakdance). Further programme details are expected in early September.

The "PAST PRESENT FUTURE" exhibition will open in CAPE's foyer that same day (27 September) and will continue until Sunday 14 December 2025. The exhibition retraces the history of CAPE, highlights its current key players and opens a space for collective reflection on its future. The exhibition is intended as a dynamic and participatory experience rather than a conventional retrospective.

English-language highlights for the 2025/2026 season at CAPE include:

Shakespeare Meets Purcell, a dialogue between William Shakespeare and Henry Purcell, "between words and sounds", featuring German narration and English singing, on Sunday 5 October 2025 at 17:00;

Lovefool, an English-language one-woman play by Gintare Parulyte exploring contemporary womanhood, on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 November 2025 at 20:00;

Seven Methods of Killing Kylie Jenner by Jasmine Lee-Jones, an English-language play, co-produced with Théâtre du Centaure and Kinneksbond Mamer, exploring issues such as Black identity, beauty ideals, racism and queerness, on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 February 2026 at 20:00 (at CAPE; performances also set for Théâtre du Centaure from 13 to 25 January and Kinneksbond from 6 to 7 March 2026).

CAPE's anniversary season also includes various concerts:

- Queen Swings! with Serge Schonckert and the Luxembourg Jazz Orchestra on Wednesday 15 October 2025 at 20:00;

- Luxembourg Philharmonie concert on Thursday 13 November 2025 at 20:00;

- Her Ensemble will perform on Sunday 25 January 2026 at 17:00;

- LTEtt-Band and the International School of Luxembourg's (ISL) Schoolband Fusion concert on Thursday 16 April 2026 at 19:00.

The Wind & Wine series offers packages or single tickets for concerts taking place on specific Sundays at 17:00, namely: Shakespeare Meets Purcell on 5 October 2025; Her Ensemble on 25 January 2026; Frënn vun de Lëtzebuerger Philharmoniker on 8 February 2026; Hayd'n Seek on 22 March 2026; Kammerata Luxembourg on 19 April 2026.

The annual A CAPE'lla vocal music festival will return to CAPE from Thursday 29 January to Sunday 1 February 2026.

The programme also includes a number of wordless shows (including acrobatic show The Award on 19 March) and Christmas concerts.

The anniversary season will culminate in an "exceptional weekend": on Saturday 13 June 2026, the winning project of the youth initiative "La scène du futur" will be presented; the season will conclude with a performance of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana (arranged for choir, soloists, pianos and percussion) - a collaborative project carried out together with the Conservatoire du Nord - on Sunday 14 June 2026 at 17:00.

In a foreword to the new season brochure, Luxembourg's Minister for Culture, Eric Thill, praised CAPE's growth over the past 25 years, stating that the centre "has become a key player in Luxembourg's cultural landscape". He praised CAPE's role "in supporting and promoting national talent", offering them "a platform to express their art".

Ettelbruck Mayor Bob Steichen also commended CAPE's cultural contribution to the town and region, noting that it "has become an essential centre of cultural life in Ettelbruck".

Sabine Augustin, Chair of CAPE's Board of Directors, described the 25th anniversary as "a moment of pride and reflection", while CAPE's new Artistic Director, Ana Maria Tzekov, marked her first season in the role by emphasising the personal and collaborative nature of the new programme.

"This new chapter in CAPE's life is marked by a singular anniversary, as it marks both the institution's 25th anniversary and my first season as its artistic director," she noted, later adding: "Together with the people who bring CAPE to life, we have prepared a wide range of activities and experiences for the 2025-2026 season, which not only celebrate the Plural Arts across numerous artistic genres, but also allow for multiple forms of participation and engagement".
