Luxembourg's National Culture Fund (FOCUNA) has presented its 2026 grant programme and launched a call for applications.

FOCUNA is a public institution whose mission is to receive, manage and allocate funds from public and private sources to promote and support artistic and cultural activities involving artists residing in Luxembourg or of Luxembourg nationality.

To provide more tailored support to artists and cultural professionals, the steering committee reassessed and updated all aspects of the 2026 grant programme at its January meeting. This update focuses on award criteria, timelines and grant amounts, with the aim of better supporting creative, research and professional development.

Initiated through the commitment of private patrons, the grants support creation, production, research and promotion. They aim to encourage innovation, strengthen artistic and scientific career paths and increase the visibility of projects.

FOCUNA provided an overview of the open calls for applications, which are intended for artistic creation as well as archaeological research and outreach. Project selection is carried out by expert juries.
