On Wednesday 23 July 2025, Luxembourg champions FC Differdange 03 claimed their first victory in the 2025/26 European club competition campaign.
In the first leg of the second qualifying round of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League, Differdange faced Welsh champions The New Saints (TNS) in Oswestry.
Pedro Silva's team created more chances near the TNS goal and capitalised in the 37th minute. Defender Theo Brusco delivered a long pass from his own half to Artur Abreu near the opposition box. The forward outmuscled the defenders and struck past goalkeeper Nathan Shepperd into the near corner.
Differdange had another clear chance in the 77th minute, when Adham El Idrissi found Samir Hadji on the left edge of the penalty area, but the forward was unable to beat the home goalkeeper.
