
On Thursday 14 August 2025, FC Differdange 03 overcame a first leg defeat to Estonia's Levadia in the UEFA Conference League 3rd Qualifying Round to progress in the competition.
Played at Le Coq Arena in Tallinn, in front of 4,063 supporters, there was not much between the two teams with Differdange failing to exert their advantage on the pitch with four times the number of shots compared to their opponents, before the game exploded into life just before the end of the 90 regulation minutes.
Trailing 2-3 from last week's home defeat, the Luxembourg champions were heading for defeat before substitute Andreas Buch's goal one minute from time, with an assist by Hadji, to tie 3-3 on aggregate and forcing extra time.
The home team retook the lead two minutes into extra time when Tambedeau scored, only for Buch to equalise again in time added on, with an assist by Lempereur, at the end of the first period of extra time.
Shortly after the restart, Levadia were down to ten men after Iboro was shown a second yellow card; with the numerical advantage, Differdange surged forward and were awarded a penalty when Peetson foule Hadji which he himself converted with one minute left on the clock.
While there were no more goals, the atmosphere was tense in the dying moments, with the referee red carding both Torres (Levadia) and Morriti (Differdange).

Manager Maurice Spitoni now leads his team into the play-offs, against Drita of Kosovo, with the first leg next Thursday 21 August (away), and the home leg on Thursday 28 August in Differdange.
