The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has announced a 22-player squad for the next Group C qualification matches of the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, with the Red Lions set to face Estonia away on Friday 10 October 2025 and Iceland on Tuesday 14 October 2025.

Their opening fixture against France was postponed following a bus accident involving the team, before Luxembourg went on to suffer a narrow 0-1 home defeat to the Faroe Islands in the second round.

Head coach Mario Mutsch has called up goalkeepers Joao Alves Margato (Progrès Niederkorn), Fabian Heck (1. FC Kaiserslautern, Germany) and Ben Schmit (SV Eintracht Trier 05, Germany).

Among the defenders are Massimo Agostinelli (FC Ingolstadt, Germany), Christophe Andrade Brites (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Miguel Fernandes (FC 08 Homburg, Germany), Sofiane Ikene (Rot-Weiß Erfurt, Germany), Clayton Irigoyen (FV Illertissen, Germany), Fabio Lohei (SV Eintracht Trier 05, Germany), Antoine Lommel (RFC Seraing, Belgium) and Yohann Torres (FC Rodange 91).

Midfield options include Rayan Berberi (Olympic Charleroi, Belgium), Ivan Englaro (F91 Dudelange), Tim Flick (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Hugo Luis Afonso (Eintracht Braunschweig, Germany) and Diogo Monteiro de Oliveira (F91 Dudelange).

In attack, Mutsch has selected James Alves Rodrigues (Gil Vicente, Portugal), Fabio Domingos (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Diego Duarte (FC Metz, France), Leon Elshan (AS La Jeunesse d’Esch/Alzette), Flavjo Hoxha (Progrès Niederkorn), David Jonathans and Jayson Videira (1. FSV Mainz 05, Germany).

Matches are scheduled for Friday at 18:00 in Tallinn against Estonia and for Tuesday at 17:00 in Reykjavik against Iceland.

In Group C, the Faroe Islands currently lead the standings with nine points from three matches, followed by Switzerland on three points from one game. Iceland and Estonia sit just behind with one point each, from two and three matches respectively. France are yet to play and remain on zero points, the same tally as Luxembourg who, after their opening defeat, find themselves in the outsider position.
