Luxembourg Men’s National Team to Face Italy in Friendly in June

The Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) has announced that the Luxembourg men’s national team (Red Lions) will face Italy in an international friendly match on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at the Stade de Luxembourg.

Following negotiations between the FLF and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Luxembourg is set to play the four-time world champions as part of preparations for upcoming competitions.

According to the FLF, the match forms part of both teams’ preparations for their next official fixtures, notably ahead of the resumption of the UEFA Nations League scheduled for late September.

Kick-off is scheduled for 20:45. Further information regarding ticket sales will be communicated at a later stage.

The last meeting between the two sides took place in a friendly match on 4 June 2014, which ended in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Renato Curi in Perugia, Italy.
