On Monday 20 April, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced its awareness project “Stell Diskriminéierung Abseits” (Put Discrimination Offside), aimed at promoting respect and combating discrimination in football.

Developed with the educational support of the National Youth Service (Service national de la jeunesse - SNJ), the initiative seeks to promote strong values within Luxembourg football. Through this project, the FLF, with the support of the SNJ, emphasises that discrimination has no place in the sport.

The project is primarily aimed at young players and clubs across the country, encouraging reflection, dialogue and respect in everyday sporting practice.

According to the FLF, the project is based on football exercises that combine knowledge-sharing, discussion and reflection on discrimination. Through interactive activities and real-life examples from the pitch, it brings together physical activity and dialogue in a practical and engaging way.

Participants are encouraged to reflect on discrimination both in sport and in daily life, identify its different forms and consider how to actively promote respect, fair play and solidarity on and off the pitch.

Interested clubs are invited to support the initiative and contribute to fostering a more respectful and inclusive football environment. Further information is available via fivefontaines@snj.lu.
