From Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 May 2025, the Luxembourg Golf Federation (Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Golf – FLG) organised the first edition of the National Golf Days, with events held across five golf courses in the country: Clervaux, Junglinster, Christnach, Kockelscheuer and Canach.
According to the FLG, nearly 1,000 people, including men, women, children, families, friends and colleagues, tried out golf for the first time during this discovery weekend. The youngest beginner was eight years old (not including many younger participants introduced to golf through children’s games), while the oldest was 78.
The initiative aimed to introduce golf to a wider audience, challenge common misconceptions about the sport and encourage members of the public to feel at ease visiting a golf course, the FLG stated.
Luxembourg offers several golf courses and a training centre for those interested in learning more about the sport. Golf de Clervaux in Eselborn features an eighteen-hole course in the Ardennes (northern) region, along with training facilities. Golf de Luxembourg in Junglinster provides a technical course set in natural surroundings, with a clubhouse located in the historic Domaine de Belenhaff. The Kikuoka Country Club in Canach includes a championship course, hotel, spa and a well-equipped practice area. Petite Suisse Country Club in Christnach offers a flat, accessible layout and hosts the country’s largest driving range. Located near Luxembourg City, the Lux Golf Center in Kockelscheuer serves as a modern training venue.
