The final of the first Luxembourg Ice Hockey League women's division will take place at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink on Monday 9 March 2026, starting at 19:00.
Tornado Women are set to face Beaufort Knights Girls in a decisive return fixture that will crown the first-ever women's champion of Luxembourg in ice hockey, under the umbrella of the Luxembourg Ice Hockey League.
The stage is set following the teams' first encounter in Beaufort on 19 January 2026, when hosts Beaufort Knights Girls secured a 7-3 victory.
Tornado Women enter the championship decider as Luxembourg's most established women's hockey programme on the international stage. The team competes in the German Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) Landesliga, where, as of 1 March 2026, they sit fifth out of nine teams. The return match in Kockelscheuer offers Tornado Women the opportunity to respond on home ice, drawing on their cross-border experience.
Beaufort Knights Girls arrive in strong form following a successful campaign in the Belgian Women's Division, where they have recorded four wins, two draws and one defeat. Their structured play and critical execution were evident in January's first meeting, setting the tone for what organisers expect to be "another fiercely contested battle".
Beyond the result, this match represents a defining moment for women's ice hockey in Luxembourg, highlighting the progress of female participation, the benefits of cross-border competition and the rising quality of the women's game.
Entry to Monday's match is free of charge.
