The Luxembourg Speed Skating Union (Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse – ULPV) has kicked off its summer short track training programme in preparation for the Olympic season 2025/2026.

As part of its outreach activities, ULPV held a short track training session for skaters during the COSL Spillfest on Thursday 29 May 2025 at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink.

According to the union, the event was described as "a memorable day" for the hundreds of children who participated. Young attendees were able to discover short track speed skating via video, take part in warm-up sessions and enjoy interactive activities with ULPV skaters. The programme also included two short show skating performances. ULPV reported that "over 400 children" visited their stand during the day.

On Friday 30 May 2025, the sixth edition of the Luxembourg Speed Camp kicked off, welcoming skaters from neighbouring countries.

ULPV national team skater Peter Murphy trained in Croatia on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June 2025.

ULPV has announced the seventh and eighth editions of the LuxSpeedCamp will take place from 28 July to 1 August and from 12 to 14 September 2025, respectively.
