KINSHASA, (Reuters) - Democratic Republic of Congo said on Sunday 31 May 2026 that the number of confirmed Ebola cases had increased to 282 after nineteen new positive test results were recorded. 

There have been 264 confirmed cases in Ituri province, fifteen in North Kivu province and three in South Kivu province, according to data distributed by the communications ministry.

The confirmed cases include 42 deaths, the ministry said.
