Luxembourg’s Ministry of Justice has reported that on Friday 24 April 2026, Minister of Justice Elisabeth Margue, administered the oath to Laurent Kocks as Director of the Juvenile Detention Centre.

According to the ministry, Laurent Kocks will serve in the position for a renewable period of seven years, with effect from 1 December 2025.

Additionally, the Government Council (Cabinet) held on Wednesday 15 April in application of Article 9 of the Law of 18 February 2026 amending the amended Law of 20 July 2018 on the reform of the Prison Administration, confirmed Director of the Prison Administration Serge Legi as the new Director-General of the Prison Administration, with effect from 17 March 2026.

During the same session, Caroline Lieffrig, Deputy Director of the Prison Administration, was promoted to Deputy Director-General of the Prison Administration, with effect from 17 March 2026.
