On Wednesday 9 September 2026, Wolt Luxembourg announced that its General Manager, Tomás Etcheverry, has been appointed General Manager of Deliveroo Belgium, taking on the additional role alongside his current position in Luxembourg.
According to Wolt, Tomás Etcheverry, who has served as General Manager of the Helsinki-based technology company's Luxembourg operations since September 2024, will continue to oversee operations in the Grand Duchy while taking on his new responsibilities in Belgium.
Both Wolt and Deliveroo are part of the DoorDash Group. Etcheverry will split his responsibilities between Luxembourg and Belgium, heading Deliveroo's Belgian operations from its Brussels office.
During his time at Wolt Luxembourg, Tomás Etcheverry has overseen the expansion of the platform's restaurant and retail partner network from around 200 to nearly 1,000, with delivery coverage now reaching 95% of Luxembourg's population, noted Wolt. It added that he currently leads a team of 25 employees based at the company's Luxembourg City office.
According to Wolt, Deliveroo currently operates in “more than 20 cities across Belgium, working with thousands of restaurant and retail partners”.
"There's already a strong foundation in Belgium, and plenty left to build on. After the very successful growth we achieved in Luxembourg since Wolt launched in February 2024, I'm looking forward to working closely with the Belgian team to reach the next milestone. I’m really excited for this new journey," said Tomás Etcheverry.
Originally trained as an industrial engineer at the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA), Tomás Etcheverry began his career in Argentina, moving into technology sales at Oracle. In 2019, he relocated to Luxembourg to join Amazon, where he spent five years driving the company's international expansion across Europe.
