The Grand Ducal Police have reported that they carried out increased checks around the Upper Sûre Lake during the extended Pentecost weekend, focusing on visitor safety and compliance with applicable regulations, particularly traffic rules.

According to the police, a total of 87 fines were issued for illegal parking during the checks.

In addition, officers filed three reports for illegally lighting fires and two reports relating to dogs being brought onto prohibited beach areas. One further fine was issued for illegal cannabis consumption.

Police noted that increased checks around the Upper Sûre Lake will continue over the coming days and next weekend. Visitors are urged to comply with applicable regulations, particularly parking rules, in order to ensure safety and smooth conditions for all visitors to the area.
