The City of Luxembourg (VdL) and the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) have announced additional public transport services for spectators attending Luxembourg’s football match against Italy, which will take place at the Stade de Luxembourg in Gasperich on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at 20:45.
The organisers are encouraging fans to use public transport when travelling to and from the stadium as part of a sustainable mobility approach.
Trams serving the "Stadion" stop will operate every four minutes between 12:00 and 20:00, with services running every eight minutes from 20:00 onwards, noted the authorities, adding that from 22:30 onwards, services will operate every 10 minutes.
Spectators using the P+R Lux-Sud facility can access the tram network via the "Howald, Gare" stop, located approximately 350 metres from Car Park B near the Howald transport interchange. Signage will guide pedestrians between the car park and the tram stop.
The same tram schedule will apply for passengers travelling between P+R Lux-Sud and the Stade de Luxembourg, with departures every four minutes between 12:00 and 20:00 and every eight minutes thereafter. Return services will run every eight minutes immediately after the match and every ten minutes from 22:30 onwards.
An alternative connection to the parking facility will also be available via AVL bus route 5. The service will operate every fifteen to twenty minutes before the match and every 30 minutes after the match until 23:24.
