The Grand Ducal Police have reported that five people were arrested following a burglary at a shop on Rue Auguste Charles in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie in the early hours of Thursday 6 August 2026.
According to the initial information, the suspects smashed a rear window of the building before stealing items from the shop. When police patrols arrived at the scene, several suspects attempted to flee but were apprehended after short pursuits in the surrounding area.
Police recovered several items discarded along the escape route and also seized mobile phones and cash.
Following consultation with the public prosecutor's office, all five suspects were arrested and appeared before an investigating judge later that same afternoon.
