The Grand Ducal Police have reported that a man subject to a European Arrest Warrant in connection with sexual offences was arrested in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Tuesday 11 August 2026.
According to the police, on Tuesday evening officers received a report concerning a man against whom a complaint had already been filed the previous day on suspicion of a sexual offence. A police patrol located the man shortly afterwards near the "Poutty Stein" stop in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
During an identity check, officers established that the suspect was subject to several police alerts as well as a European Arrest Warrant in connection with sexual offences involving minors and adults.
On the instructions of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the man was arrested and taken to the remand prison. Police added that the investigation into the allegations against him is ongoing.
