On Tuesday 11 August 2026, the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) announced the opening of registrations for the fourth cycle of its Empower to Employ programme, which supports Ukrainians living in Luxembourg under Temporary Protection status in finding employment and building their professional future in the Grand Duchy.
The initiative, supported by the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+) and Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, aims to help participants better understand the Luxembourg labour market, build confidence, develop effective job-search strategies, strengthen their professional networks and connect directly with employers.
According to LUCC, the programme includes individual HR assessments, CV and LinkedIn support tailored to the Luxembourg labour market, mock interviews, practical workshops and training sessions, sector-specific coaching, individual mentorship, networking opportunities with employers and regular follow-up from the Empower to Employ team.
LUCC noted that more than 230 Ukrainians have received support through the programme over its first three cycles, with 73 participants already securing employment in Luxembourg. They have found opportunities across a range of sectors, including finance, IT, administration, hospitality and management.
"What we have learned is that professional skills alone are often not enough when entering a new labour market. Understanding how recruitment works in Luxembourg, building a local professional network, gaining confidence and having direct contact with employers can make a real difference. This is exactly what we try to provide through our workshops, individual support, sector-specific coaching, mentorship and networking,” Olena Berkovich, LUCC HR Manager for Empower to Employ told Chronicle.lu. She added: “For us, every employment is more than a number, it is a person who has managed to restart their professional career in Luxembourg. With Cycle 4, our goal is to help even more Ukrainian professionals take that step.”
Before the fourth cycle begins, LUCC will organise online information sessions, where prospective participants can meet the Empower to Employ team, learn how the programme works, discover the planned activities, understand the participation and selection process and ask questions. The sessions will take place on Monday 31 August and Thursday 3 September 2026.
