The Embassy of Belgium in Luxembourg has announced a concert featuring Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko and Luxembourg pianist Stefan Dorneanu, taking place at the Philharmonie Luxembourg on Thursday 17 September 2026 at 19:30.
Organised as part of the initiative "Advocacy Coalition - Defending Our Future Now", the violin and piano recital aims to "celebrate Ukrainian talent, European culture and solidarity with Ukraine through music".
Dmytro Udovychenko, a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, is described by the organisers as “one of the most remarkable Ukrainian violinists of his generation”.
Stefan Dorneanu graduated with great distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and, according to the organisers, his artistic career reflects both Luxembourgish and Belgian musical traditions.
Together, the musicians will perform works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Yevhen Stankovych, Maurice Ravel and César Franck.
Tickets are available via the Philharmonie Luxembourg website.
