Doctena has announced the launch of five new services aimed at making life easier for both patients and healthcare professionals.
The European leader in online medical booking, doctena.com, will be introducing the following new features on its Doctena Pro platform: Referral Doctor, Waiting Room, Branded Profile, Last Minute Availabilities and Internal Note. The introduction of these services forms part of the Luxembourg start-up’s mission to facilitate patients' access to healthcare by easing the workload of doctors' offices.
The new Referral Doctor service, for instance, puts GPs and specialists in touch with each other, enabling them to consult their colleagues' agenda and make appointments directly for their patients on priority time slots. The second new feature, Last Minute Booking, additionally offers the possibility for patients who have booked an appointment on Doctena to be notified in case an earlier time slot at his practitioner becomes available. Moreover, the new Waiting Room functionality allows the doctors’ secretary to monitor the status of patients in the office, i.e. "in the waiting room", "in consultation", "has left". As such, all members of the medical centre can be kept informed of the waiting time. Another new feature is the Branded Profile, which allows medical practices to customise their profile page on Doctena’s platform to gain visibility and the final addition, Internal note, allows colleagues within the same practice, to send notes to each other through the Doctena Pro agenda in order to establish better communication about patients.
The services are completely free of charge for patients and aim to help to simplify the patient's journey between appointment booking and consultation, as well as support the general organisation of medical diaries in the offices.
The five services are currently offered in beta version and will soon be available in all the European countries where Doctena operates (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg). In the coming weeks, more than 10,000 healthcare professionals will be able to offer a faster and potentially less stressful medical experience for patients.
